Cancer Treatment & Veterinary

Oncology

Cancer can be a significant concern for pet parents, and can be a significant risk to cats, particularly to aging and geriatric animals. Early cancer diagnoses and proper treatment can help your cat live a longer, higher quality life with fewer complications. Proactively observing your cat and reporting any physical and behavioral changes you see to your veterinarian can be very helpful in early cancer detection. Annual or biannual exams allow your veterinarian an excellent opportunity to detect problems early, and gives your cat the best chance at successful treatment and recovery.

Our oncology services include cancer screening, therapy, and surgery. Your veterinarian will discuss your cat's condition and which proven treatment options will most benefit your cat. In some cases, your veterinarian may recommend that you consult an oncology specialist and will provide you with a referral.

There are more oncology options than ever before, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and clinical trials, as well as alternative medicine options. We understand that learning your cat has cancer can be a very difficult time for you and your pet. Our primary goal for you and your cat is enhanced quality of life and a personalized treatment plan to achieve that goal.
