While these recommendations stand as a general framework for vaccine schedules, we treat each patient as an individual and tailor your cat's wellness care schedule to his or her health and lifestyle.

Adult Cats (Yearly) 

• Annual Exam
• Distemper Vaccine (1 year, 2 year or 3 year, depending on age and lifestyle)
• Leukemia Vaccine (2 year, depending on lifestyle)
• Rabies Vaccine (1 year)
• Heartworm Preventative
• Flea Control (depending on lifestyle)
• Internal Parasite Exam*
• Check FeLV/FIV (if not done previously)

*Outside cats need a 2nd Internal Parasite Exam during the year.

Kittens

Under 6 Weeks

• Deworm every 2 weeks

8 Weeks

• 1st Exam
• FeLV Test
• Broad Spectrum Deworming
• Distemper Vaccine 1 of 3
• Start Heartworm/Parasite Prevention
• Internal Parasite Exam

12 Weeks

• 2nd Exam
• Broad Spectrum Deworming 
• Distemper Vaccine 2 of 3
• Leukemia Vaccine 1 of 2

16 Weeks

• 3rd Exam
• Broad Spectrum Deworming
• Distemper Vaccine 3 of 3
• Leukemia Vaccine 2 of 2
• Rabies Vaccine (1 year)
• Internal Parasite Exam

3-6 Months

• Spay/Neuter 
• Preanesthetic Labwork
• Recheck FeLV/FIV Test

1 Year

• Annual Exam
• Distemper Vaccine (1 year)
• Rabies Vaccine (1 year)
• Heartworm Preventative
• Flea Control (depending on lifestyle)
• Internal Parasite Exam*
• Check FeLV/FIV (if not done previously)
